Have you ever eaten cat hairs for breakfast, lunch & evening meal? Do you spend all your time away from home pulling cat hairs off your clothes, car seats, bags?( black things are great ,cos you can see them all multiplying)The Animal Lightweight Dyson reached depths & corners I never knew existed.The 1st time I used it on my room carpet, I thought there wouldn't be any carpet left ,it picked up so much! I can even carry it upstairs, although I've got my old(very heavy!) Dyson stationed there permanently.Because it's so light & manoeuvrable, I use it more often too, so that helps. It's brilliant! I can't recommend it highly enough!

For years we have been using a cylinder cleaner and always found it to be satisfactory, light and easy to use. Then one day someone in our household who shall remain nameless, decided to wash the paper filter which left the house with a smelly damp residue ... horrible. So I decided to "bite the bullet" and go for something completely different. Having seen the ads and also owning a couple of shedding dogs, the Dyson DC25 animal cleaner seemed ideal. A bit expensive, but then quality always is. It was easy to assemble, but my first impression was that was cumbersome and much heavier to use than my old cylinder cleaner. But after seeing the results of the first clean, which almost filled the reservoir, and using it for a month now, I wouldn't change it for anything. The carpets and furniture have come us just like new. The only thing I miss from my old cylinder cleaner is the rewindable cord because my grandson (20 mths old) constantly unwinds the Dyson cord Dyson DC25 Animal Lightweight Dyson Ball Upright Vacuum Cleaner for Pet Ownersand trails it through the house so he can "hoover" too!!

I purchased a Dyson DC25 Animal even though I thought it a very expensive machine. My thinking was that quality comes at a price and it did....only it was BAD QUALITY! My first reaction was that the suction and ability to pick up 'fluff etc was no better then other 'lesser' machines but not to worry I thought I have security in a quality product and surely a first class support service... Wrong and Wrong!

Big bang, flames from ball, house circuits tripped. call Dyson who send an engineer A WEEK LATER. Replaces failed motor and switch.

4 DAYS LATER, Big bang, flames from ball, house circuits tripped. same failure and their only option is to wait another week for an engineer.

Tried to discuss a replacement as waiting another week after their 'qualified engineer' had only fixed and tested it 4 days earlier. Used terms like 'Fit for Purpose' 'of satisfactory quality' but all fell on deaf ears. The unhelpful customer services agent and her supervisor told me that it is only my opinion that the item is not fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality (sounds like a well rehearsed script to me!) I claim it a FACT that the QUALITY IS POOR and the item is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE given the evidence above.


THANK GOD FOR AMAZON, Quick call to very helpful Amazon customer service agent and a replacement was sent next day.
Will never purchase a Dyson again but whatever I do decide on it will be purchased from Amazon for sure.
Somewhat disappointed.

This vacuum cleaner has very good suction, as I have Two hairy dogs this is a blessing, but I find it heavy to handle bearing in mind that I have joint problems,I thought lightweight meant just that !!! However my carpets are beautifully clean so I suppose you can not have everything,
